    Hi,
I am moving to Europe from Canada to live with the man I may marry.
This is going to be huge change; moving somewhere I've never been without a job set up, (basically relying on my partner while I build my dream and I have emotional issues connecting to the idea of being dependent), moving in with a man I've only spent a month with because…[Read more]

I've been in transition since last June. My husband left me and my little girl 10 days before her 2nd birthday. Since I was a stay-at-home mom with no money of my own (AND we were scheduled to move out of our apartment 6 days later) I had to move back in with my parents. So, I'm starting over with my little one, a ton of life lessons, and my dreams.

Thanks Janice. Trying to keep pushing toward my dreams and not give as much energy to discouragement. I even have an inspirational blog as a way of making blessings of my life lessons. http://justrealnhonest.wordpress.com

  • My life has been in a huge state of transition beginning last July 27, 2010. I lost my first dog and best friend - Sasha - at 13 1/2 - 7/27/10 - then my dad's 2nd wife died in Sept, 2010; my grandfather died just before Sasha actually; then the icing on the cake was being released from my job of 9 years (Resident Services Coordinator - social…[Read more]

I'm praying that you find hope in this difficult season and that the opportunities you desire will come to you quickly. I salute you for pulling yourself up out of depression. It is a strong magnetic force that only weakens as you resist it. I know this firsthand. Continue to be strong in the moments you can, and human in the moments you can't.…[Read more]

  • Said goodbye to my daughter and grandchildren today, they are heading back home. My youngest daughter also left this week, moving on to a new adventure. Not wanting to admit I feel alone. Really not wanting to admit to feeling much of anything. Then I realized how weak my legs felt, how tired I felt and I realized that once again I was letting…[Read more]

I'm so proud of you, Faith! It can be scary at first, but when you allow yourself to feel, the rewards are huge. Emotions are just energy. If we don't release them, they stay locked in our cells and create more problems because it then becomes 'stuck energy.'

Through deep spiritual work, I have a calmer, healthier out look on life. My 18 year marriage ended while I was recovering from abdominal surgery. Since then I have been up the Amazon, written and uploaded 6 books to Lulu.com, become more fit and learned a great deal about self care. I volunteer with toddlers doing art twice a month and sing in my…[Read more]

What I have learned is that PTS leaves an individual with the decision between "loving" a caregiver or "loving" self. As a child, we naturally understand that survival depends on having a bond with the parent so we choose to ignore our own bodies and spirits. It is necessary in order to stay alive. Taking this coping mechanism into the world…[Read more]

It is interesting how self care can be such a foreign concept! I am an expert at caring for any and everyone other than myself. It was only after 10 years of caring for an alcoholic to the point of making myself physically ill that I finally realized I needed to start loving myself at least as much as I said I loved others. Hardest lesson I…[Read more]

Cherie, I applaud your efforts. I learned so much from what you shared. Thanks! And so good that you're loving yourself and being gentle. Self-love is the highest form of love there is (when it is done for the right reasons) from which love for all flows out.

I suffered from Bulimia for almost 15 years, and after various meetings with psychiatrists, coaches, family and peers, nutritionists and so on, I could never see the other side of the rainbow. My transition came a few years ago, when I discovered spirituality and personal development courses, watching Tony Robbins etc, This was the beginning of my…[Read more]
